چکیده

The molten-salt catalytic conversion of biomass into synthetic fuels is one the promising renewable energy topics 21st century. Mixtures Zn–Na–K//Cl have gained attention, acting as catalytically active heat transfer fluids in process, due to their low costs and principally melting points which effectively lower required operating temperature reactor. Herein, corrosion behavior three candidate steels, SS316L, SS321, Alloy 800, pure molten salt, a salt–biomass mix, mix containing inhibitor (zinc oxide (ZnO)) comprehensively investigated. herein described study demonstrates that additions increase penetration depth mechanism leads partial spalling scale. This attributed presence oxygen moisture from leading formation reactive HCl gas. addition ZnO reduced corrosivity all alloys obtained protective, adherent, thin scale conclusion indeed an effective for presented salt system. These findings constitute major advance implementation salt-catalytic reactors fuel production.

Catalytic conversion of cellulose to levulinic acid by metal chlorides.

The catalytic performance of various metal chlorides in the conversion of cellulose to levulinic acid in liquid water at high temperatures was investigated. The effects of reaction parameters on the yield of levulinic acid were also explored. The results showed that alkali and alkaline earth metal chlorides were not effective in conversion of cellulose, while transition metal chlorides, especia...

Internal Cation Mobilities in the Ternary Molten

With the Klemm method, ratios of internal mobilities in a ternary molten mixture (Li, Na, K)N0 3 of the eutectic composition (30-17-53 mol%) have been measured in the temperature range 473 K-673 K. The electric conductivity has been measured with a D. C. method. From these data the internal mobilities, bu, 6Na and bK, have been obtained on the assumption of additivity for the molar volume. In m...

Thermodynamic Characteristics of Samarium and Europium Chlorides in Molten Alkali Metal Chlorides

The formal standard redox potentials of samarium (III)/(II) (EZmi+/ Smi+) and europium (III)/(II) (•£,£u3+/eu2+ ) *n molten alkali metal chlorides were measured potentiometrically against a reference chlorine electrode. The Gibbs energy changes and equilibrium constants for the reaction LnCl2(D + V2 Cl2(g) LnCl3(I) were calculated for the salt systems studied. The effect of the cationic composi...

Catalytic conversion of 1,2-dichlorobenzene over mesoporous materials from zeolite.

In this study, 1,2-dichlorobenzene (DCB), an important precursor of PCDDs and PCDFs, was chosen as a suitable model compound for the catalyzed deep oxidation of dioxin. The recently developed mesoporous materials from zeolites (MMZ) were used for the first time as a support for an oxidation catalyst. The catalytic oxidation of 1,2-dichlorobenzene over Pt/MMZ was carried out, and the catalytic a...
